How PeopleSense works
PeopleSense uses passive infrared (PIR) sensing to detect movement and count people traffic passing through or past your assets or locations.

PeopleSense can be configured to report your traffic count data at different intervals. It can also generate alerts when a set count threshold is reached, for example, to notify when to send cleaning staff to service a bathroom. PeopleSense can also be configured to only count people stopping to use facilities e.g. a washbasin or kiosk.

PeopleSense connects to the 0G Sigfox network, a global wireless network designed specifically for secure transmission of device data. You can access your data through mobile or web reporting platforms, or integrate it with your existing management dashboards or systems.

How PeopleSense Works
PeopleSense uses passive infrared (PIR) sensing to detect movement and count people passing within a two metre range of the device.
Accurate and robust, the PIR technology in PeopleSense provides highly reliable counts in the widest range of indoor and outdoor settings, free from environmental interference such as direct sunlight.

PeopleSense includes flexible on-board firmware offering a range of optional features, allowing you to precisely tailor solutions to your specific people counting applications, with configuration changes able to be made remotely.
Configuration settings can be changed remotely over the network for either individual devices or device groups.

Flexible Counting and Reporting
PeopleSense can be configured to report your traffic count data at different intervals depending on required reporting frequency. The device can also be programmed to generate an alert each time a set count threshold is reached, useful for triggering utilisation-based service actions such as bathroom cleaning. In addition, PeopleSense can be set up to only count people stationary in front of the device for a minimum time period, allowing monitoring of facilities usage such as washbasins or kiosks.
Remote Configuration Updates
Configuration updates can be made remotely to individual or groups of devices, avoiding the need for site visits to change reporting frequency, for example.
